Like our ORGANIC Satipo ceremonial cocoa, our Satipo cocoa nibs also come from the Asháninka, an indigenous community in Eastern Peru, who cultivate cocoa in natural forest gardens. This Grand Cru variety is one of the world's so-called ancient cocoas – meaning its genetic origin is very old and many other cocoa varieties are derived from it. The cocoa nibs are obtained from fermented & gently roasted cocoa beans. The natural ingredients and the original aroma of the cocoa are preserved during this gentle processing. The nibs are ideal as a nutrient-rich snack, as a topping for smoothie bowls, muesli or desserts, or for refining savory dishes and baked goods. 100% pure, natural and full of original cocoa power.

ORIGIN
Cultivated, harvested, and gently processed by the Asháninka in the Satipo region, Peru. Personal relationships with our cultivation partners enable fair, direct, and transparent trade according to the highest ethical principles, free from child labor.

INGREDIENTS
Cocoa nibs from 100% controlled organic cultivation. May contain traces of nuts. Compliance with the EU cadmium limit of 0.8 mg/kg. An up-to-date analysis certificate can be found here.

USAGE
